The Kiwanis Club of West Hartford

Who We Are
The Kiwanis Club of West Hartford is one of more than 8,000 global Kiwanis Clubs located in over 90 nations. The primary focus of Kiwanis is improving the lives of children in our community and throughout the world one child and one community at a time.

Locally, in the past few years since our recharter, our club has helped nearly 50 children with varying disabilities learn to ride their own two-wheeler, awarded several scholarships, donated newborn baby kits, given away nearly 100 bicycle helmets and many times more peanuts at the Park Road Parade and other events. We've done so much in only about 4 years but there is more to be done.  How can you help?

How You Can a Difference
If you are interested in uniting with like-minded people who are committed to and have compassion for others, please join us at our next Open House coming up in September and learn more about how to be a part of this exciting club.

For more information on how you too can make a difference, please email us at
membership@westhartfordkiwanis.org.

Other Ways to Help
Our Club is proud to announce that we have received 501(c)3 status for our Foundation.

The Foundation (KCWHCSF) was established as a 501(c)3 to service the needs of children in our community.  Currently, the Foundation is used to help fund various Lose The Training Wheels, scholarships including Key Leader and Stars for Kids, and other community service projects.

Gifts of highly appreciated securities or cash to the Foundation (KCWHCSF) may be deductible for federal income tax purposes.  Please consult with your tax adviser to see if a gift to the (KCWHCSF) makes sense for you.

Anyone interested in making a charitable donation, please contact donations@westhartfordkiwanis.org for more information.
